Previously known as Hanford Osteopathic Centre, it became necessary to rename the practice when the Congleton branch opened and the decision to provide osteopathy at the downhill races was made.
dh osteopathy was born out of Dave’s interest in downhill mountain bike racing. Having treated friends at races it was suggested that he formalise a service for all riders at NPS races.
It will be interesting treating the various problems associated with downhill riding. It is a very demanding sport, physically and mentally, and although bike set up can iron out some of the track, the bulk of shock absorption will be through the riders’ muscles and joints. Just as wheels can get out of true and suspension need adjustment, so too can the body require attention to make it function optimally.
I will be providing treatment at the NPS races and the national championships. However, if you see me around the pit area at these or any other races, feel free to ask me should you have any questions. Alternatively you can contact me by phone or email.
For any mountain bike enthusiasts looking for an entertaining weekend watching talented riders do their thing in some great parts of Britain then check out the NPS website for venues at www.npsdh.com. Call me old fashioned but this is what sport should be like; committed, skilful individuals riding, racing and having fun. The atmosphere is great. Come and check it out. |
